I’m not a crypto fan, but couldn’t Bitcoin, for example, be a good long term investment for someone wealthy, for the same reasons that they might want to invest in gold? Because the supply is so inelastic it could be a good hedge against inflation. However, that same inelasticity makes it volatile.

I live on what used to be the 5th hole, but they closed the course. What used to be the water hazard is a now pond that attracts migrating waterfowl (they actually used to shoot them, apparently, when the course was operating; we moved in after the course was closed).
