Writer and author
Defender of people who have suffered mental trauma in the workplace.

My first book - "Silent Struggles" is now available.

Started on my second book
One aspect of British life that I miss and was proud to be a part of. The remembrance of those who gave up their lives so that we can live as we do. It has become commercialized in Australia, but in the UK Remembrance Day retains its dignity.
I miss life in Britain
One of the most precious things about Remembrance is that it sets no political tests.

It asks only that we "remember", and that we do so in the silence of our own thoughts.

It doesn't dictate what we remember, how we remember or what lessons we draw.

That's between ourselves and our conscience.🧵

This is fascinating. It suggests Trump takes a pleasure in the supplication of former critics. Each of his GOP rivals abased themselves in turn. Now the dilemma is for other leaders. You may well get what you want but only if you ask with knee bent. Do you kneel? www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...
Hypocrisy, Spinelessness, and the Triumph of Donald Trump
He said Republican politicians would be easy to break. He was right.

With Trump back in the White House, it's time to build the wall. However, let's expand it so that all of the USA is inside the wall. We must never let him out.

Thank you America for your friendship, your leadership and your support. But I think now it is time we part ways.
Time for Australia to cut the AUKUS umbilical cord and find its own way. Time for the UK to do the same.

Just reading how the Dems say that Harris entered too late and Biden should not have run for President in the first place. I couldn't work out what Harris stood for. Just saying Don't vote for Trump wasn't enough. She didnt provide a viable alternative to the American electorate

Stan Grant is right about America...
"The American political elites have turned their backs on poor Americans. They are bought and paid for by lobbyists. They pass laws that put more money into rich people’s hands.

Once upon a time in America
As the presidential election campaign grows ever more feverish, is the idea of America in terminal decline?

The corruption in the system has never been more evident than it is in 2024 in Australia. Governments of all sides lost the electorate long before the pandemic - this decision shows how criminal the institution has become
Resign

It is the only position on the entire system of government where the mereest whiff of (apprehended or actual) bias or corruption should be fatal.

There are plenty of other candidates. The job is much much bigger than the individual

I, for one, no longer have confidence in the NACC.
The head of the anti-corruption watchdog is facing calls to step aside following a review into a decision to not investigate Robodebt referrals.

When I talk to a recruiter this is what I think about...

Ever feel like your recruiter's excuses fell off the back of a lorry? Do they give you GBH of the earhole?
Then come to Arthur Daley's recruitment agency. We guarantee a nice little earner.

It made me laugh when I read that Australia is losing trust in their politicians. You can barely tell the difference between the major parties. They treat the electorate at large as an expense to fleece and hoard.

Australia’s pandemic plans were ‘grossly inadequate’, an inquiry has found. What lessons can be learned?
Initiated by the Albanese government in 2023, the 866-page report finds people still feel ‘resentment about what they lost’ during pandemic lockdowns

Imagine being a crim in 70s Britain on tv. You had to deal with Regan and carter from the flying squad, Bodie and Doyle from CI5 and Burnside and Roach from the local nick. And if you ended up in a coma you had Gene Hunt to deal with.

You had to be a hard crim back then to deal with that.

It’s been two weeks since my first book 'Silent Struggles: Identifying Mental Abuse in the Workplace' was released, and the response has been both overwhelming and humbling. Thank you all for your support and your understanding of the issues that face us as employees in a toxic workplace.

October 10 is world mental health day. The release of my first book cannot be timed better. Based on my experiences in a toxic workplace so that people who are in similar places can identify and take action against those who are keen to inflict mental trauma.
It's out on paperback and kindle

Fed up with compliance people telling me why compliance is important. You wear a helmet when you jump out of a plane because of compliance - it’s not safety - that helmet will do stuff all if your parachute fails

Being out of work may have been the impetus to turn my writing from a hobby to something much more. I love writing. I also love my old work in cyber security although i definitely don't miss being told to lick my bosses' ass. How does asslicking keep hackers out anyway?

Ready for release for world mental health day - October 10. All the toxic work practices I have encountered so that anyone with mental stress at work can identify a toxic employer and act against them.

This has been a shock to wake up to. There is finally an arrest after 50 years in the Easey Street murders. Susan Bartlett was my art teacher at Collingwood High. She was lovely. We did a lot of pottery. I used to talk to her between classes.

Arrest made over Easey Street murders almost 50 years after deaths
Police have arrested a man in Italy over the 1977 murders of Suzanne Armstrong and Susan Bartlett in their home in Easey Street, Collingwood. He fled Australia in 2017.

My new book is in for its final review. It is designed to help anyone who has experienced bullying in the workplace. Using use cases from past roles, I highlight how toxic workplaces cause harm to employees. Due out in October.
