Another liberal trying to fix a broken system from the inside. Dad x2. Attorney. Bo Burnham fan. This is mainly a place for me to scream into the void.

Hilarious to me Republican Rep TJ Roberts speaking in favor of HB 10 states he has represented clients and the bill addresses the needs of landlords when Roberts graduated law school a year ago. Kid knows nothing about what he’s talking about, but that’s standard for the KY GOP.

I really wish people would stop saying making a deal with Trump is like making a deal with the devil. Completely disrespectful. People making a deal with the devil may actually get something out of it.

The GOP’s war on government workers has come to Kentucky in the form of SB79, requiring the end of all hybrid work policies and forcing workers back into Frankfort 5 days a week, for no purpose other than to punish someone taking a lesser-paying government job for the flexibility it provided.

Understand that this is designed to make it seem like they are in control and know what they are doing. In reality, they aren’t accomplishing anything substantive. They don’t seem to know how much of this works and put people in charge who also don’t know. Keep focused, call out the bullshit.

Proud of our Governor @govandybeshear.bsky.social speaking at the World Economic Forum on how the current federal administration won’t succeed in dragging Kentucky’s economy backwards! No one who fights the future has ever won.

Well, now we get to find out what the decision of 77 million people means for the other 263 million. Good luck out there, everybody.

Just wanted to point out that Trump’s inauguration weather will be roughly the same as President Obama’s in 2009, and that didn’t stop him from having it outdoors. I was there, it was cold, and Obama still walked the route to waive at supporters. Maybe Trump is just too old to be president?

I’m thankful for my 3yo, who helps keep life in perspective. While I am lamenting Trump’s cabinet picks, he is marveling at the size of the clumps in our cat’s litter box while I clean it because it’s trash day. Turning a chore into a wonderfully disgusting treasure hunt.

New to the platform and trying to find a space for democrats to discuss how to build momentum for democrats in red states, focusing on substantive policy discussions. As a KY Dem, my first question is how the national party can give local Dems the space to navigate local political environment.

I don’t understand the liberal vitriol against the New York Times. I consider myself a liberal and have been a subscriber since 2016. Can someone give me some context on any legitimate complaints or is this just another trendy institution to attack? @nytimes.com
