If you're planning on shopping during black Friday or cyber Monday, why not consider supporting artists, writers, creators? Buy a book, purchase an indie video game, commission an art piece, gift someone a Patreon. Your support means everything.

Interestingly I had no idea we’d have illuminated evening skies tonight until much later when I opened social media apps.

Well maybe next time.

Passive voice is the exception. Why “print” insists on avoiding active is a mystery to me.

I used as many active voice writing styles even when doing a series about history. And makes it alive.

See how you can use both but rely on the NOW even as you talk about the THEN.
Because it feels relevant as we continue to evaluate the media and our representatives’ statements, my favorite way to identify the active vs. passive voice.

This is one of my favorite movies.

Duke Ellington said of music, if it sounds good it is good.

That’s how art works. If something is good to you, it is and doesn’t matter why.

Xanadu is -as the song suggests- magic to me. Profoundly so.

Paul’s comparison of the new @kinolorber.com 4K is magic.

I appreciate the passion Paul shares for cinema on many levels.

He and his family are going through some fucked times.

We can’t help everyone, I know. But sometimes we can help someone here and there.
I wouldn't be asking this unless I desperately need help. If your circumstances allow you to send a tip it would help me out tremendously, even just a few bucks. You have know idea how much I appreciate any help you can give.

Florida officials say they want to eliminate school vaccine mandates. It won’t be that simple.
Many of the reversals will require action from lawmakers. Public health experts and educators warn that dropped mandates could worsen disease outbreaks and add to a teacher shortage

It’s rare I’ve seen any of the popular this week films featured on LB. Not that I won’t. Definitely will see Weapons on 4K home disc. But clearly my intake is less about FOMO / gotta see how this new thing now. Since I’ve trended this way, I find my movie experience is overall more satisfying.

This is the kind of title that is likely to be in many top 10 4K releases of 2025.

Preserved appropriately without an aggressive scrub. Using HDR well to make those 80s scenes pop. And dour new audio commentaries.

Even without those things, this movie is literally magic.
