shouldn't it be described as an abduction?
The capture of President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela and President Trump’s declaration that the U.S. will “run the country” for now raise a host of extraordinary legal issues at the intersection of international law and presidential power. Here is a closer look.
Is It Legal for U.S. to ‘Run’ Venezuela After Maduro’s Capture? Here’s What to Know.
The operation revives disputes over the legality of the 1989 Panama intervention, enhanced by President Trump’s vow to “run” Venezuela and Nicolás Maduro’s formal status as president.

NEW: In a taped address Wednesday night, Trump blamed “the radical left” for Charlie Kirk’s murder — a term he often applies to Democrats. His rhetoric has sparked fears he’ll use the killing to further crackdown on his political opponents.

Many companies following the trump way of doing business.
Hey look. It’s the worst economy since the last time Trump was in office.

Probably just a coincidence

NYT says Bondi claimed no evidence to CHARGE other people

On the right:

Bondi memo actually claimed no evidence to INVESTIGATE (which is an implausible claim)

trump is the boy/man always looking for a prettier girl.
A real problem with Trump is that he can’t make up his mind. Things are always subject to change & he goes back & forth; it’s politics, not policy.
July 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM
For the 60 years I've been following politics. The GOP mantra is always the same--They rail against the people who receive benefits that shouldn't while the grant tax breaks to Corporations & b/millionaires who don't need them. They extoll the Sherriff of Nottingham while yelling about Robin Hood.
Always cracks me up how the unemployment rate is 4% but apparently there are millions and millions of “able bodied people” sitting around doing nothing
Steve Scalise: "Disabled people will get better Medicaid under this bill because all of the fully able-bodied -- the 35-year-old guy sitting at home playing video games in his mom's basement -- he's gonna have to go work. And so he will not be crowding out disabled people in Medicaid."

Will the trump administration provide transportation to and from the farms? provide lunch? regulate the workplaces? provide the proper workers' compensation insurance coverage...

How long before the thought police start arresting and jailing protestors, those who express sympathy, etc. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and this administration is absolutely corrupt.
This upcoming protest campaign is not without risk. Trump officials have telegraphed that they want to crack down on those people protesting ICE operations, whether they be immigrants, U.S. citizens, or even elected officials.
Exclusive: The Next Move to Take on Trump’s Notorious Detention Centers
A coalition of labor and civil rights groups are organizing to protest multiple Louisiana detention centers.

The end of the United States of America is near to replacement by MAGA/America. I am astonished how unpatriotic & authoritarian loving the GOP is. It must have been always there, but they lied and smiled.

Liar's think, lie first and then ignore the aftermath.
That would be the right approach for a government whose lodestar were the national interest, as opposed to a government whose principal objective is to salve the delicate ego of the pathological narcissist who leads it.

How long before trump has Elon picked up by ICE?

It is all part of the trump & GOP to dumb down America. They want to make us serf to provide fodder for the billionaire Elites.
The Trump administration is pushing away foreign students with its policies. This loss in talent will cost America—both intellectually and economically https://econ.trib.al/FeBmjbi

"Big beautiful bill" is correct name. We the people of the United States of America will be left with paying for MAGA America's attack on our social safety net with higher hospital/medical costs, unnecessary/earlier deaths, lower wage growth, higher interest rates all for Christian/white nationalism
The "big beautiful bill" is a bunch of BS.

Is one aspect of "trump's" agenda being to move MAGA America into an isolationist stance? All they do is alienate our friends, make life difficult for legal immigrants and try to coerce industry to move back to their shores.
“If the administration’s assault on foreign students seems unprecedented, it’s because it is. If the abrogation of TPS for Venezuelans seems unprecedented, it’s because it is…And if it all seems stupid and cruel and damaging to this country, it’s because it is.”

Face facts trump's administration with the collaboration of the GOP has weaponized the government against anyone who says a discouraging word about it or trump. Id the Dems ever come back to power they should selectively prosecute members of the trump administration while de-weaponizing the DOJ.
Exclusive: Federal prosecutors across the country may soon be able to indict members of Congress without approval from lawyers in the Justice Department.

If adopted, the changes would remove a layer of review intended to ensure that cases against public officials are not politically motivated.
Trump Justice Dept. considers removing key check on lawmaker prosecutions
The Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section is charged with ensuring cases against elected officials are not politically motivated. The Trump administration is considering changing that.

Future of AI is sinister in the hands of authoritarians & criminally minded. AI has to be harnessed & limited to things that benefit society but as in all things it will be perverted by human beings. We need controls like their used to be on the spread of nuclear weapons. We will destroy ourselves.
“The enduring legacy of Trump's trip may be the transformation of the Middle East into a global AI powerhouse, despite massive risks to the U.S...In deal after deal, Trump opened the door for the Gulf to obtain the world's most advanced AI chips.”

trump will never read the Declaration of Independence because it doesn't have any picture.
He should read it sometime.

He clearly hasn’t.

It’s a protest against tyranny.
MORAN: What does it (the Declaration of Independence) mean to you?

TRUMP: It means exactly what it says; it's a declaration of unity, love and respect and it means a lot. It's something very special to our country.

Look at the bright side he didn't say that Lincoln wrote it.
In all seriousness, should we be surprised that Donald Trump has never read the Declaration of Independence and has no idea what is in it?

Face facts trump is telling law enforcement to ignore and violate the Constitution. It is like telling your wife to sleep with your best friends.
Trump is acting as if he were an autocrat where his Executive Orders become Law, rather than a president where his Executive Orders become suggestions that congress can consider when making Laws.
Trump ahead of signing executive orders: "We're signing some important legislation."

trump/musk have not seen a promise they don't want to break.
Social Security has kept its promise to pay benefits in full and on time for nearly a century.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump want to break that promise.

We MUST NOT let that happen.
