I've read Le Fanu's Carmilla for reference, big lesbian overtones there, but unfortunately its a really dull book and only good as the earliest example of vampire fiction. I'm still planning to finish Kiss of Stone and Ebon Gaze, but its a challenging and interesting thought exercise (cont)

I also really like Rorikstead and the surrounding areas as a setting. Its full of nothing and surrounded by nothing, and for this story it feels like its own character to me. It's like the Skyrim equivalent of Kansas, everybody should drive through once just to appreciate how full of nothing it is

I don't like making her too pretty cuz she's really not pushing 40, the lizard part of your brain'll start thinking maybe I understand where he's coming from, you shouldn't. The Amano style naturally does that, especially you gotta be careful making her "serious", it pushes her up 2 points easy

Course hell, it's Juri. She could just as easily get me into pie sitting or some such, you meet your loved ones in the middle
