I liked Maestro. If nothing else, it's worth watching for Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan's performances. I could have used more about the music but I did know going in the focus would be on his marriage. I'm really looking forward to American Fiction. Should get to see it within the next week.

I get it though, some variety would be nice. I still have 3 Best Picture nominees to see (Zone, Poor Things & American Fiction) but already I think this past year was an excellent year for quality cinema.

It is crazy that Wes Anderson has never won. He's got a great shot this year. I'd also rather not see an Oppenheimer sweep but worse movies have dominated before.

Both are well-deserving. The Teachers' Lounge is definitely something we haven't seen before and I do love that about it.

Completely agree. She's brilliant in this. I'm glad I don't actually have a vote because picking against either film would just feel wrong.
