Instagram is serving me ads for a fancy hardcover edition of the First Law trilogy, and as nice as it looks, we gotta cool it on the handsome Gloktas. I know we need our blorbos and babygirls but the books are very clear that Sand dan Glokta is a toothless incontinent who looks damn near eighty

Ok, so the Traveller 5e news is… well it’s whatever. Not really worth getting too exercised about I’d say about BUT thanks to looking up previous d20 iterations of Traveller my life has been #blessed to discover what may be hands down the single greatest piece of RPG art I’ve ever seen.

in my own experience only, as LLMs get “better,” all I am seeing is the production of texts that are just as wrong as they ever were, in ways that are just as fatally bad, but which now appear more consistently plausible to someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about

This is not intended as a value judgement - I like Street Fighter 6 a lot! - but I've noticed that I have the most fun in Vampire Savior when I play my weird purple B-tier fave, in Third Strike when I play my weird purple B-tier fave, and in SF6 when I play an S-tier who does all the SF6 stuff good

I've said before that, for the most part, if you're allowed to talk about the games industry, you don't know what you're talking about—but the idea that voice actor paychecks make up a significant percentage of a game's budget really, really takes the cake
Damn I had no idea my voice actor friends were "paid too much" when they provide work that can literally make or break a character in a video game but interesting thought there hm
