Last 20 yrs: chasing anti-science disinfo, esp. on climate or tobacco, helping defend scientists.

But great investigative journalist @janemayer.bsky.social’s #MeToo credentials are impeccable, and unlike the media in 2017, she spent 5+ months actually investigating during 2019:

If a tech company wants to restart a reactor, they should pay the costs to do so. I don't see why the rest of us should pay for it.

Indeed classic … and when watching Knives Out, I immediately wondered if dogs’ key roles were inspired by that Holmes story, in both directions, ie people they did or didn’t bark at.

Of course, not new: I recall the edit wars over climate change 15-20 years ago.

Canada handled this well.

These days, I’m not sure we need nickels much, especially given rise in electronic transactions at retail level.

Agreed, fine writing as usual from @andreapitzer.bsky.social .

Of course he wants to end vaccination, but knows he can’t just do that in one bug step, so dies it in smaller steps, like splitting MMR.

I strongly recommend fine documentary “A Shot in the Arm” on vaccine hesitancy & its (often well-paid) promoters, incl RFK, Jr.
www.pbs.org/video/shot-i...
Watch whole thing, but especially:
34:32-onward RFK, Jr
43:45-50:27 Samoa deaths: he denies/evades involvement, video records contradict.

Explore vaccine hesitancy historically and in the context of COVID-19.

As you likely know, but others nay not, California passed its first electricity/water efficiency rules for appliances, including dishwashers in 1977, and kept upgrading since.

Sigh. In 1990s I spent hours briefing NSA (US), GCHQ (UK) and DSD (AU).

Curious about the basis for saying there is no longer scientific consensus. Can you remember who was interviewed or who the reporter was?
