+1 for some of the software carpentry stuff. I find R Studio's git interface super glitchy. Once I switched back to github desktop (with some occasional cmd line) I found things much easier. Git Kraken is also pretty solid.

This looks really cool! I saw a talk a couple years ago on a similar package in Python and was hoping something like this would pop up for R.

Yeah that’s a good point. Still it’s good to have even a fuzzy picture to help demonstrate how big of a gap there is! Even if it were truly 2%, that is far too low.
