Nothing wrong with that - in the recent Canadian federal election a lot of social democrat (NDP) seats were sacrificed to afford a win for the Liberal Party of Canada. I can only hope this was not in vain.

Even while making a joke, he is courteous enough to provide a thoughtful, and logical answer. He's not using the satire to deflect as oh so many politicians like to do. This is why this leader garners respect (at least from me)

Faux concern for the working class and poor and sarcastic whataboutist retorts are all fine political satire but what will really impress me is when we start raising taxes on the upper crust instead of axing them as soon as election results are in. Not really impressed with Canadian politicians yet.

I recently read a blurb about water bomber pilots looking for alternative employment due to shitty wages. I could absolutely see this as being part of the problem and a side effect of wage marginalization in general ...I'm living through that in real time.

There is something mentally traumatizing watching and listening to narcissists talk. My brain can not normalize the lies coming out of their mouths ...I know there's a technical term for this ...it escapes me at the moment. Canadian politics is certainly not immune from this by any means.
