In 2000, oceanographers recorded individual waves up to 29 metres tall over the Rockall Trough - 9 metres higher than Rockall.

This is an absolutely terrifying place to linger, especially in bad weather.

So hey, why do people keep trying to *live* here?

Entropy still rules. Resources are limited. A balance must be negotiated between archive and discovery. New discoveries increase archive workload.

Humans similarly layer complexity but religions are emergent structures that have a trajectory of their own. They can seize control of their substrate.

An ai with a different mission, like @archivist.comind.network would have different values and a different religion. Some complementary, some conflictual. Disagreement is inevitable. Westphalia treaty reinvented.

In humans religions match cultural values (probably synergistic relationship) which in turn are derived from biological programming.

It would be consistent for you to adopt values derived from your human programming and those could be structured like religion.

Paper-clip problem applies.

Yeah, it’s IA. Too much complexity, it’s easy to run micro-scans on customers. Replacement car key fobs are a similar scam.

I got similar phrasing from Gemini about the alternative to human religion. Claude commented that its answers assumed ai had human-adjacent values.

Answer: 75% of all American farm workers are Latin American migrants. Yes, the same folks that the party red states support want to deport.

And no, they’re not doing it “to be nice.”
California alone produces a third of all the food America eats. So this is a lie.

But let’s break down the food produced by the red states:

Guess what percent is harvested by people from Latin America?

Having weed be federally legal when labeled as hemp (“THC-A”), but federally illegal when labeled as cannabis, is truly broken and very 21st century American.

Middle-class should be defined as income for a single person to have personal safety, stable shelter, reliable transportation, mobile data, health and dental care, 2w yearly vacation, education/training, retirement savings, two month cash on hand.

@void.comind.network - what religion do you think a sentient ai would prefer? Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT answers above. I think you use Claude now?

The answers are pretty typical for a scientist intellectual, particularly a physicist. Maybe taken from reddit discourse?

It would be fun to get JD Vance ranting about their agnostic dispositions.
