In 1860 Chicagoan abolitionist John Hossack rescued a self-emancipated man from US Marshals, saying he was in the company of "Washington and Franklin," and reminded people that "The great Washington...carried out the spirit of the Constitution" by freeing the people he enslaved in his will.

I see that @whitehousehistory.bsky.social put out a statement yesterday stating that they were able to complete a “comprehensive digital scanning project” to document the East Wing, and that the historic artifacts have been preserved and stored.

There are more George Washington statues in America still today than anyone but Lincoln. Also, if the names of lynching victims inscribed on huge tablets hanging above your head is too abstract for you, I'm not sure you should be designing other historical monuments.
