On Each of You (track 2 of my EP, For Reflection) the intro has a couple of things that make me happy: 1. an awesome snare drum sound. 2. A 4/4 over 6/8 kind of tension. 3. The guitar riff I’m playing is from a solo I discarded because Shane Tracy’s guitar solo was so much better. On all services.

When you realize the fact that American citizens are being pulled from their homes and taken into custody and being held with no legal grounds, and you realize that there is no difference between them and yourself, then you realize that it’s only everything that we have to lose.

The founders set up a Constitution that described the freedoms and the rights that we would have as a nation. Sometimes, when we see that those freedoms and rights are being infringed upon, we need to speak out so that we don't repeat the ugly parts of history.

What did a Reagan era policy have to do with how we experience the news today? If you look up the “Fairness Doctrine” you’ll learn a few interesting things. What the doctrine did was that ensure news organizations would present both sides when covering thorny issues.

When I decided on a reggae groove for Tariffs, I went back to all the old Police recordings and soaked in them for a bit. I wanted to catch the spirit of how @stewart_copeland played and replicate some of that energy. I feel pretty good with how that turned out!

Interesting fact about Tariffs is that the government can do whatever they want with that revenue. It doesn’t need to go through traditional legislative process. So, a large chunk of revenue is coming in with no accountability about where that is used. Seems bad. Besides that, we pay more.

Yes, I have benefited from capitalism. That said, I’m not sure all of how I benefited is good. And I’m rethinking how I direct my money — even at this stage of my life. We need regulations to make sure that greed doesn’t take advantage of and exploit people, which it clearly has over the centuries.
