I've been neglecting Bluesky! I completely forgot to post this piece from earlier this summer. It started as a demo for my students (but was definitely just an excuse to illustrate the Jabberwocky). Very inspired by John Bauer for this one :)

This was originally a Rapunzel piece, but after finishing A Sorceress Comes to Call by @tkingfisher.com I feel like it almost fits that story better! Both are rather dark fairy tales with a wicked sorceress so I guess I shouldn't be surprised

I'm available for freelance work in the summer and fall 2025! I'm teaching fewer classes than expected so I'm open to whatever work is out there :) I appreciate referrals too!

Does anyone know any art directors and if so can we bring back covers in this style? I want nothing more than to make covers like this

☁️ Sea of Melancholy ☁️

An illustration that might allow me to explore a new project. I don't know if it will last 1 month, 1 year or years. But I want to listen to the songs of these faded and forgotten worlds.

Do you like maps? I do, but this is my first time making one for a project! I loved putting in lots of little details just for me

I'm working on being looser and more painterly with my work since drawing the way I have been is proving to be pretty draining. This piece isn't quite finished but I like where it's heading!

Pretty proud of this considering I haven't drawn a dog in, like, eight years. Also, trying to get that 80's fantasy feels was harder than I thought but the sparkly tiara was a lot of fun. Her name is Margot btw!

It's hard to see all the juicy texture so I'm going to be posting some closeups (the sword and hands are my favorite part of the whole drawing)

Not the best picture, but I demo'd drawing over matte acrylic with colored pencils and decided to do some #arcane fanart! I've always had a soft spot for Viktor

Not much new to share since this semester of teaching has been keeping me busy! But I do have this sketch for a piece I'll get around to finishing eventually--i have no idea how this fits with my current portfolio but it was very fun to draw some weird monsters.

Lost and Found, a piece done for my narrative patreon! Definitely very inspired by Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer, I read it in a weekend this summer and knew I needed to draw something related to it.
