Some time ago during my research I had the thought that all the measures we have of brain activity, and the research we do, are based on shadows cast upon the walls by the systems that are really of interest.
I think this is why, e.g. using EEG to detect seizure activity is so challenging. 1/n

It seems I have never posted here, so I suppose I should remedy that. Here's a paper I wrote showing predictive activity in the parietal cortex when the participant expects to receive vibrotactile feedback while using a prosthesis simulator.
