I guess the whole thing is a pastiche of 80s horror and sci fi. Extending that into the 90s would remove a pretty important part of the mise-en-scene.

Also, it would strain belief to have these characters exist in a world without BEETLEJUICE, which would cause all sorts of problems.

Thanksgiving turkeys are probably given more attention during cooking than, like, deli meat turkey or whatever. I'm at the point where I guess I've had about 50 of them, and they've mostly been edible and nice.

The last few years my family of 3 has done a shepherd's pie, which still has mashed potatoes so might not count. But it's all in one dish, not too large that you end up throwing a lot out, and just kinda /feels/ X-Massy.

Truthfully, the way North Americans pronounce the letter R in the middle of words kinda fucks up "arse," and we never really say it correctly. "Can't be bothered" doesn't have the same oomph, but I think we're stuck with it.

I'm trying to remember if we made you go to a German bar in Hell's Kitchen or a Czech bar in Queens. I know there was an outdoor garden but the rest is fuzzy. No idea why that might be.

You can get a really good view of the Statue of Liberty /from/ the Staten Island Ferry, which knocks off two Cub-approved spots.
