Realising that going cold turkey on the T-place is quickly reversing the damage it did to my brain chemistry over the last 2 years. Blue Sky felt boring, but when “boring” means it lacks endless bad-faith arguments against people who’ve made up their minds, that’s a me problem and not a platform one

After studying Japanese on and off many years, I finally got my N1 pass today 🎉

Changing my handle to my own domain was a big revelation. Domain names are (at least can be) highly trusted/verifiable, but they're accessible to everyone. It accomplishes what that guy at the other place said he was going for, in a way that feels truly equal and democratic.
