Side note: Writer Dorothy Parker was a staunch advocate of civil rights. She left her estate to MLK and after his death to the NAACP. After her death, her ashes were unclaimed for years until the NAACP placed them in a memorial garden in 1988. They were moved to the family burial plot in 2020.
