I got food poisoned in Japan, threw up a lot, collapsed, & the train people called an ambulance. I tried to protest b/c I'm American but couldn't really. They carried me in a stretcher, took me to the hospital, & gave me a saline IV to re-hydrate. Total cost: $25. If Japan can do it, so can the US.
