Reminder: We can’t fight the patriarchy on an empty stomach. 💪 Fuel yourself and get ready to fight.

Let’s stop being so preoccupied with the shape of our stomachs and more preoccupied with how we care for the most vulnerable in today’s political climate.

Reminder : The average body is neither perfectly small nor perfectly hourglass/toned. Most bodies exist in spaces that are incredibly different than the body image ideals we are fed from the media and advertising industry.

We are conditioned to be dissatisfied with our bodies by an industry that makes money from our unhappiness.

Remember this next time you’re tempted to hate your thighs, or your wrinkles or stomach. Whole industries have fed you lies in order to profit off of your “body improvement” purchases.

PSA for when buying Girl Scout cookies. Don’t tell the girl about your diet, or if you’re bad for eating cookies, or calories counts.

These girls are learning to be entrepreneurs, not dieters

At a Free Mom Hugs trans rights rally this weekend.

1- I will never stop defending trans rights

2- all bodies are deserving of respect, dignity and validation

3- if your body liberation is limited to just one type (hint, white cis-female) then it’s not really body liberation

Today feels like a good day to remind everyone that worrying about the size of your thighs or if your butt has cellulite is a waste of important energy that we need for self-preservation and rebellion right now 💪💪💪

Let’s go!
Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

It’s a sad reality, girls confidence steadily decreases around the age of 8. It’s not the same for boys. So what constitutes the change?

Millennial and Gen-X ladies! Eat the d*mn bagel. We were inundated with messages to avoid carbs, told to scoop out our bagels, told to only have half, & make sure they’re low carb. Carbs are your basic form of energy and f*cking delicious. Life’s short, enjoy the bagel ✌🏻

So the federal spending freeze is suspended.

Meanwhile Tr*mp has put forward 2 executive orders against the trans population in less than a week.

The tactic is to distract while causing harm.

We need to focus our energies on protecting and advocating for the trans community.

Don’t be silent.

MAHA: Let’s make America healthy again.

7 days into the Trump presidency: Federal funding halted for hospitals, schools with programs for kids. Orders CDC to stop communicating with WHO. Halts proposed EPA limits on PFAs pollution.

So this is the “health” that they were talking about?

No longer do we need to shrink ourselves to fit into spaces designed to hurt us.

Our bodies deserve better. Our bodies deserve to take up space that is authentically ours.

My 13 yo started getting “What I Eat In A Day” videos advertised to her on YouTube. After reviewing the following facts with her, I thought there may be others out there that need the data as well.

A few reminders (in comments)

Just wrote a whole post about how it’s ok to your look your age. This is what it is to be a woman in our society, constantly feeling that you “should” defy your age . Like what?!? I am the age I am. Enough said.

Reminder for today: you can’t fight the patriarchy on an empty stomach. With all that we are facing, we have to be taking care of ourselves to keep the fight going .

Today feels like a good day to remind everyone that the BMI is a racist, misogynistic measuring standard.

So next time you’re told to judge yourself against a standard that wasn’t made for you, resist and rebel.

For today’s MLK observance, and especially in the face of the incoming oligarchy regime, my family is spending the day outlining BIPOC & LGBTQ+ businesses we will be frequenting in the coming months.

Leaving Amazon and doubling down on support for those that need it most right now. ✊🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Ok so let’s get this straight, the American government can ban TikTok in the snap of its fingers but not assault rifles when school after school is shot up?

What’s the real danger to Americans?!?

Helping our kids with body image isn’t just about how you talk to them about their own body. It’s so much more about how you talk about bodies in general. My number one tip for helping our kids develop a positive body image—Watch how you talk about bodies, your own &
