This one's been in a mood, too

When you get home from a late shift and explain to your cat that she doesn't get a third wet food today!

I shall be sleeping with one eye open tonight!

My 12 week run in the gym has come to an end after the penultimate PT session!

One pulled hamstring tendon (judging by where the pain is)

Rest, rest and no gym for at least a week. Have had to cancel this evening's work shift

Thank goodness an osteopath appointment already booked for this week!

Missy is confused. Is it finally Friday? It's been a long week!

(Even longer for me, as I'm working both weekend days)

Outrageous! I hope you are feeling bad about waking her from her nap!

I went to college and left Missy with the spare human. She's ignored him all day. I'm home now and trapped

Blue sky on Bluesky!
September 13, 2025 at 11:08 AM
I rarely use Bluesky - except for watching the adventures of a particular kitty. I have struggled to really get into it.

A bit of a change for September. Life is life-ing, we'll see where this ends up...

It's exhausting being a kitty! #Caturday

How are you making time for self care this weekend?

Even 5 minutes just for you will make a difference, and start to build a habit or routine.

I'm resting ahead of an 8 hour shift. Eating plenty of veg and protein before the shift. Tomorrow will be a chilled out day to recover.

If you're not working - as I am - I wish you a weekend as relaxing as Missy has entered this weekend.

If you are working, I hope you manage to plan some rest time during the weekend, and definitely after.

Starting the new year soft and relaxed

Lounging on the sofa, resting ahead of a busy December, watching the traffic and trains go by, I was reminded of a truth many of us need to learn to accept:

The world doesn't stop when we stop and rest.

A delightfully warm welcome for my parents today, from the cat 😹

Folding laundry and washing up can be hugely beneficial for our work.

While one of the (numerous) reasons given for why working at home is 'bad' is that people might do domestic tasks during working hours, it can actually be good for creativity and problem-solving.

Every week I share my #WeeklyWins

From a positive psychology perspective, gratitude-seeking helps us shift into a more positive way of thinking. It's not toxic positivity, though - "good vibes only" is denial

Rather it's understanding that even when things are tough there are glimmers
