Many authors write/or would write additional teaching materials to support their texts. Would this be helpful for teachers? Or does this squash the reading for pleasure principle? How are class texts selected? Many author friends support this with additional materials, including paid school visits.

A brilliant writer and an amazing example of someone who had a rough start in life but turned his life around and became an inspiration to many. A sad day.

The other unrealistic thing is having a proper gravestone in place at the funeral. There’s at least a year waiting list to get a headstone carved.

Probably. But an author quote on the front of a book is irrelevant to me choosing to read that book.
