In Study 1 (N=315), we conducted an exploratory factor analysis, and in Study 2 (N=285), a confirmatory factor analysis, to:
• Develop a scale to measure the belief in the meaning of life.
• Demonstrate that the belief in the meaning of life and the experience of meaning in life are distinct.
