Rather impressive of Trump to strip the entire DC market of crooked attorneys in less than 9 months.

I'm missing something in the "uses an LLM for self-assessments" = "handful corporate LLM's decide everything" construct.

Tbh, that's not an inherently bad thing.

So much evil has been perpetrated to in service of the Abrahamic "God."

Just ask Palestinians, Jews, Muslims, Christians, women, children, genocided cultures, destroyed societies colonialist victims, LGBTQ folks, and the list goes on and on and on and on.

It's not difficult for Dems.

Gutting the ADA will last years.

There's no way Trump and MAGA are truly ready to cut off all the Bubbas and Ambers and MawMaws from their SNAP benefits for much longer.

There's no point in litigating that because the Hawks have won at virtually the same rate with or without Trae over 7 yrs.

It's obvious Young isn't a franchise cornerstone and will never lead an NBA team to a championship.

So the only real debate now is how much ATL will get back in a trade.

In my mind, people should be held 100% responsible for their work whether they used an LLM. So, if they believe an LLM helps them do their job, then we shouldn't create boundaries against that or judge them for it. And if their performance ends up being worse, then they pay the price for it.
November 7, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Ultimately I think it's too early to say either way, and studies are just going to have to be done to determine the extent to which biases are cooked into llms versus cooked into the human condition and life experiences.
November 7, 2025 at 9:41 PM
If you're going to be sloppy enough to allow an LLM to do your peer review for you, then you're going to be sloppy when it comes to doing the peer review anyway.

There's also a good argument that an llm would be more objective than a human peer who's developed non-conscious biases.
November 7, 2025 at 9:36 PM
The problem with that is there are a lot of folks who don't disclose disability, especially neurodivergence, who can clandestinely use LLMs without having to disclose, suffer the stigma, or deal with jealousy because they get to use a tool nobody else does.
November 7, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Here's my thing about that: some people are just sloppy workers. They were before LLMs, they are now, and they still would be if the tech disappeared. Folks who are professional and do their job, aren't going to feed it into an LLM and mindlessly go with the results.
November 7, 2025 at 9:28 PM
I always thought that was just a move to give themselves a chance to clandestinely catch up to or get ahead of competition.
November 7, 2025 at 11:20 AM
In fact, I'd probably prefer it since it would likely mean you could be more efficient and complete the process more quickly.

I used to write grants, and I wouldn't see the problem if one of my grant reviewers ran it through software to, say, ensure all of the regulatory, statutory, other objective rules and requirements or followed and met so that they could focus on the subjective assessments.
November 7, 2025 at 11:11 AM
I don't want this to come off the wrong way but my neurodivergent mind has to ask... Why announce this? Did somebody make an accusation that you're fending off? I mean, it's totally fine to use software to augment your professional expertise. Clinicians and other professionals do it all the time.
November 7, 2025 at 11:07 AM
Of course you believe that you're special and criticism of your industry could never apply to you.

It's the same narcissism that compels you to rhetorically dip and dodge instead of admitting when you're wrong.
November 6, 2025 at 3:54 PM
You say that like the country isn't still burning from the fire she and other corporatist Democrats created the conditions for in the first place.

I'm not giving credit to a firefighter fighting a blaze they help create, but you do you.
November 6, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Ew. Please don't lionize one of the primary architects of the Democratic Party's corporate capture and current abject uselessness just because she was good at performing Trump resistance.

I understand and empathize with your antipathy and position given your profession.

I also imagine you find it unfair when someone broad-strokes accusations at the entire journalism industry.

The AI industry, like every other, has actors both bad and good.
