Yes; Hampton does relatively better than Davis in this scenario because Hampton inherits 77 percent of Davis votes and 61 percent of Fateh votes, whereas Davis inherits only 56 percent of Hampton votes as well as 65 percent of Fateh votes.

pretty impressive from hampton. is it just that in his case, you have fateh/davis supporters almost exclusively ranking him and not frey, while in the other cases they have to see that hampton supporters prefer frey?

We now know that, as between Frey and DeWayne Davis, the breakdown would have been 49% to 40% to 11%, and between Frey and Jazz Hampton, the breakdown would have been 47% to 41% to 12%.

And here's Frey vs. Hampton, which looks a lot like Frey vs. Davis, with some subtle differences.

Here's Frey vs. Davis, also known as Kenwood vs. Powderhorn, with some big shifts in Wards 6 and 12 as noted in another thread.

there's no support for her to gain, though. there was no threat to aisha in 2023, and lydia didn't get any more votes than aisha's opposition than that year. this result is proof that aisha does not need to be worried basically at all about a moderate challenge

Imagine if in 2021 Jacob had like no second choice support and literally all Sheila voters had Kate second. Without batch elimination, Sheila survives and blocks Kate. With, Sheila drops and Kate gets sent over

I think it does, mayyyybe they have a way to filter out repeat votes in the drop consideration but I’m not sure. I have their algo somewhere and it would take a bit to figure out

Not that I’m aware, but note that it was almost certainly implemented in response to 35 candidates, which somehow has maybe not happened elsewhere
