I mention it in the article, but not enough. For as much as Beatty's a nothing (and as much as Pacino is perfect), the best performance in Dick Tracy is William Forsythe as Flat Top. Genuinely one of the most chilling villains in movie history.

If you see this, post a DC comic cover you love.

Great ep! I, for one, would like to hear more discussions of bad stories, especially if you can do something with Old Man Brainy with his blue blockers and puffy coat.

Well, seeing this at a gas station fills me with joy. Hopefully, each one has a DC Universe Infinite trial code.

Pipit didn’t give his life to be mocked like this.

I am not exaggerating when I say that Peter David is one of the most important writers in my life. I still remember what I felt when I came back from the comic shop and read X-Factor #87. And that was before I got to his Hulk, Supergirl, Star Trek, Young Justice, etc. RIP.

Everything in Shield of Honor works. Lewis is captivating and grounds his character's embarrassment at being retired and the flaming plane sequence at the end is spectacular, incredibly well-composed by director Emory Johnson.

But that's how copaganda works. It captures our natural responses to art

I went into The Shield of Honor expecting to hate it. It's full-on, unrepentant copaganda, from the plot about the romantic hero (Neil Hamilton) and his police plane to the plot about his father (Ralph Lewis) being unfairly retired from the force. By the end, I loved it.

Different shows. Same character.

Somehow, I’ve never caught that Dougie Jones goes to see Dr. Phlox. No wonder Janey-E was all worked up. She was just in the decontamination chamber.

While waiting on a proper/affordable bluray, this is a pretty good pickup:

Five bucks seems like A LOT for “Code of Honor” on VHS.

Post a VHS cover that scared you as a kid.

I did just watch parts of Lost Highway on my phone, so maybe I deserve it.

Post a Legion of Super-Heroes cover you love!

I started with the 5YL Legion, which is about the worst place to begin, but it made me a fan for life.

I enjoyed Agatha All Along and thought Joe Locke was great. But also, I can't not see this.

(and who is Agatha Harkness if not the Zap Rowsdower of the MCU?)

RIP Tony Todd. What a tremendous loss. I know a lot of people are mentioning Candyman, and with good reason. But I'll also always love him for his Star Trek work -- especially DS9's "The Visitor," one of the best Trek episodes of all time.

Is this error message on the studio’s press site the only way that Warner acknowledges the Looney Tunes anymore?

Does a blunt instrument of British imperialism still count as evil if he’s hilariously ineffective?

Man, RIP M. D. Bright. This page, especially the smirk Hal gives, has defined Green Lantern for me for decades. He was a great draftsman and artist of facial expressions.
