The people are starving because the rest of the world has done nothing to stop the Israeli GOVERNMENT using starvation as a weapon This includes the British people/government/prime-minister. We are all complicit but the American people/government/president must bear a greater part of the blame.

We don’t leave them on the beach. We take them home, love them up for a few months then take them back and throw them back in. The feathers we keep.

Wonderful Hiroshige exhibition at British Museum this summer. It sent me back to Essays in Idleness. So many of them are like woodblock prints in that they a freighted with subtext.

True but I do find that the words - YOU'RE NEXT - writ large, tend to concentrate the minds of those who are slow to recognise the threats posed by the likes of Trump, Vance and Leon Scum

I am genuinely more addicted to coffee than any narcotic I ever took. AsI have got older I have given up smoking, sugar, and alcohol but when the doctor says "Give up coffee or you'll die" I will reply "So I'll die" 😎

That looks like fire + child + dog. How I envy you I had them all & time, unknowing & uncaring took them away The kids are away conquering their brave new world. Dogsmith - crazy but loved - sleeps with the bugs at the bottom of our garden Live fires are banned here but hey! my memories burn bright.

Random stupidities of apps and software once drove me crazy but now I'm reassured that Ai will need a quantum+ leap to take over the world. In a similar vein I am no longer infuriated but flattered that LinkedIn thinks I might know people from Leeds university who arrived there 50 years after I left

It may be the colour balance in the photograph but that looks like a fairly large mug full of VERY strong coffee. A few of those will "tame" you once and for all. There are none so tame as the stone cold dead.
