Definitely recommend the A473 between Pontypridd and Llantrisant when you’re back in these parts. Still feels new to me but probably isn’t now (10ish years?). Great cycle path which also runs along side it.

As someone who has vivid childhood memories of summer holidays riding in the car, waiting at traffic filled roundabouts on that A48 Baglan stretch-break in the M4, I’m still astounded at the sheer magnitude of what was done on both sides of the River Neath.
