I was RIF’d my first 3 yrs as an educator. Was told not to worry, I’d be hired back. When I was, it was insulting, like I was a pawn in negotiations.

Can’t help but feel the same as I watch our elected officials during the shutdown. They argue while I’m left to wonder what happens tomorrow.

Shame.
