BUT sometimes you can work on tech focused on renewables and sustainability, and that's super cool.

I led design at this renewables startup. I worked across hardware/software to bring 4 products to market/traction with first customers.

4) Apple, Windows and Google can't do this, they are too burdened by supporting their legacy software.

This is why "Apple Intelligence" is so lackluster.  

Mainframe has the benefit of being small and nimble.

Yes! It has an espresso grind setting. I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard it holds up.

Good news though! In my work, I’ve found that corporations hold some huge advantages over disrupting startups:
1. Immense capital
2. Tons of talent internally
3. An established brand and strong partner relationships
4. Tons of existing customers and channels to deliver to them
