Some recent photographs I’ve made. All in Cornwall and shot in one Fuji or another.

Taking a break and sat at the Forum of Caesar. Birds chirping, occasional rumble of traffic and the murmur of conversations of many different languages whilst surrounded by over two millennia worth of history. Pretty surreal to be honest .

Not a late night kick off at White Hart Lane but a 7am walk to St Peter’s Basilica.

Massively late to the party, but Detectorists Season 3 may well be one of the finest 3 hours of television I have ever watched. It’s magnificent.

Thank you Ozzy for giving me this. RIP

Not this year! Will get back up there soon (and other comedy and art shows elsewhere!). Did catch Robin when I was there. Photo a prelude to some gentle drawing and an anarchic therapy session. Enjoyed it a lot (and learnt a lot about other comedians and writers).

5) Splatoon 3 SP

A shooter that is a platformer and a platformer that is a shooter. Always a fun single player game. Timeless mechanics that is still inventive and fun. A few cracks starting to appear but delightful as ever. 4/5

4) Sea of Stars (Switch)

Will be a all time classic in my book. Incredible mash up of 90’s JRPGs and Zelda lite with a compelling story, fantastic cast, beautiful artwork and great music. Difficulty is perfectly balanced too. Loved it. 5/5

They came third in a two horse race. BBC can’t help themselves can they?

Super day with the old man and Kernow Spurs celebrating our UEFA Cup win. Incredibly lucky to be part of a spell binding few days for the club. It’s something i will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. These days don’t come round often. #coys

I’m convinced that Richarlison is going to enter into Tottenham folklore tonight. It’s the pigeons night.

Left: If Spurs win tonight
Right: If Spurs lose tonight.

Quote post this with a picture of the aircraft you’ll accept as a bribe.

Incidentally I’ve named my road bikes Cerritos and Rocinante. Perhaps I need to buy a new one so I can have a Fireflash?

3)Tomb Raider 1: Remastered (PS5)

Really enjoyed re-visiting this after so many years. Holds up really well with some really strong level design. It’s refreshing to play a game with little distraction, encouraging you to sit in its ambience and orientate yourself within its sprawling levels. 4/5

2) Batman Arkham Shadow (Quest)

Has no right to be good as it is. Sensibly keeps it on a scale of Ayslum and delivers a tight and engaging adventure. Combat is sublime and conveys the fluidity & flair of the main games. A bit buggy & have qualms about AAA VR design but it’s a bit of a triumph

8/10

Really enjoyed Civil War (A. Garland). Wasn’t expecting a film that understood and even be passionate about photography. Reviews did it a bit of a disservice by just focusing on its politics. Dunst and Spaeny were excellent, really felt they had that photographer’s 6th sense. Recommended

Games I’ve completed in 2025

1). Dragon Age Veilguard (PS5)

Decent. Can be a 6 or 8 out of 10 on any given day, but it has heart and it’s a game I wanted to finish as it’s progressed mainly down to its cast and a very good combat system. Took a while to get there but hooked me once I did. 7/10

Two from a New Years stroll between Newlyn and Mousehole (Cornwall). I don’t think anything will beat the colours and tones out of this sensor. #xpro2 #photography #fujifilm

Managed to get a good hike in today between Rinsey and Porthleven with a pint as just reward. Xmas pressies now wrapped and stomach eagerly awaiting a deluge. Merry Xmas Folks. Enjoy! 🖖

Watched Pegasus from S7 of TNG this afternoon. Took me a while to realise who the Admiral was. Terry O’Quinn looking somewhat older than what he did in Lost which came out almost a decade later.
