lazarus, the new anime by the guy who did cowboy beebop, is a great intro to the world of anime. it's a really intriguing story and great characters with fantastical elements, so far at least, scaled back more than most anime.

cush jumbo and davide tennant are great in macbeth. the production is top notch and though it is firmly shakepearean, with all the good and bad associated with that, i do feel like i can actually properly follow the macbeth storyline while watching it.
