I don't think it's because they're propagandists. I think that general news reporters don't have the knowledge and sources to quickly report that context. Getting the information about the climate context requires time that breaking news reporters don't have. Solution is programmes like this 👇

FWIW - Munich Re’s climate scientist s comments here make sense to me. Surely everything will always be insurable for a price? But, then again, if that price is too high for anyone to pay - because likelihood of disaster so high - then it’s basically uninsurable. So just semantics really

Back in 2022 - when the idea of drawing up this oil standard was new - @tzeporah.bsky.social said that oil industries “are not going to design their own demise" and accused them of "delay tactics". Looks like she was right!
