One CEO gets merc'd, & New York politicians trip over themselves to throw taxpayer money at protecting trembling billionaires, but children gunned down in their classrooms can barely receive an indifferent shrug. Absolutely vile.

Had a crisis about the commercialization of holidays created to celebrate human kindness & generosity. Trying to teach my kids the importance of thoughtful, useful gifts over whatever “stuff” is on sale and quantity = winning. Any ideas in this regard are welcome.
