Everyone pays the first tax bracket on income up to $57,375. If you make more, you pay the higher tax bracket only on income earned above the threshold. Everyone earning over the first tax bracket will save $573.75 from a 1% tax rate deduction.

2/ As long as the number of attestations is below the difference between first and second place, it can't possibly alter the outcome. But it does improve turnout and engagement.

1/ Common in most Canadian elections. If your name is on the register and you have ID, you can vote. Most places will let you vote without ID (again, if you're already on the register) as long as you sign an attestation.
