Decided to try something new with the leftover turkey bones. I made paitan ramen broth out of it. Made a tare, cooked up some noodles, and put together a few bowls of Thanksgiving leftover paitan ramen. Would recommend.

Happy Bento Friday! Classic Japanese hambagu with sauce and rice. Comes with a salad of spinach, lettuce, strawberries, avocado, and freshly sweet corn tossed in olive oil and lemon juice, fruit salad of peaches, pineapple, and blueberries, and strawberry fluff salad. いただきます。

Happy Bento Friday! Today's main is two kinds open face onigiri. Salmon mayo and chicken mayo on rice with a salad of cabbage, bell peppers, broccoli florets, and a cherry tomato in a strawberry vinaigrette and a cranberry, pineapple, mandarin orange fruit salad. いただきます。

Tried my hand at homemade pizza with a new electric pizza oven. First one is definitely on the thick side, the second had a hard launch. Both were delicious. Three kinds of mozzarella and provolone.

I decided it was time to start #bentofriday back up for my wife and her co-workers last week. I forgot to post then, so here is last week's #bento and this week's. I at least five or six bento for them every week. いただきます。

I made British fish and chips tonight, complete with mushy peas. Flounder and cod. Tasted great.

I’ve been keeping myself busy making lots of breads with my new bread machine.

It is a delicious distraction from everything going on.

I also made more bread. A loaf of white oat bread. Haven’t had any yet but the missus says it is pretty good. A definitely dented one side getting it out of the bread machine.

I used to make bento for my wife and her coworkers every Friday. Now I just make them occasionally. Today’s bento is egg soboro and niku miso over white rice with fresh red raspberries and cherry tomatoes. いただきます。 #bentofriday #bento

Yesterday, the wife and I made melon pan together. It turned out nearly as good as from bakeries in Japan. Pretty pleased with it. #melonpan

Was inspired by Bob’s Burgers #bobsburgers make a perfect brussels sprouts burger.

First attempt: brie, brussels sprouts, and ground pork over jellied cranberry sauce. Almost.

New Year’s called for me making Japanese food. So I made #tonkatsu for the Eve and #gyudon for the Day. Nit as good as restaurants in Japan but still delicious.
