We just read LWR to our daughter this year and honestly, it wasn’t as compelling to me as the first time I read it as a kid. But I do like much of his other writing.

Staver's claim that Davis will now suffer "crippling monetary damages based on nothing more than purported hurt feelings," is a really ironic position to take. Without denigrating them at all, conscience objections are literally "hurt feelings." Davis's whole reason for objecting were her feelings.

Though it’s far less often now, there was a brief time in my life when I was frequently “in the news” and it was always surreal when reporters would reach out. “You want to talk to me, a regular ol’ silly goose?”

C’mon man. Give all those billions to schools, orchestras, and food banks. Be kind for no reason. Drop the resentment and reach out to others even if you think they’re on “the other side.” Do something worth being loved for!
