I've never thought about it this way but that makes a lot of sense.

I often find the more I think about how to be successful the less successful I am as well. Just gotta keep my head down and keep pushing!

This is cool. I saw your post about making the dashboard available. Would you be making the dashboard available and the user would be responsible for supplying the correct data format?

Beyond that I've even started exploring entire other hobbies or pursuits. I ask myself questions like what if I wanted to become an urban planner or a city councillor or a woodworker building custom plywood furniture for small apartments

And these things don't feel totally out of reach.

But as I entered my career I found I was a decent software engineer but a generalist (full stack or whatever you want to call it). I worked really well with clients, and I loved product planning and ensuring that what we were building was worth it.

As a graduate of software engineering I _should_ be an excellent software engineer, creating large scalable systems that are designed well and use the best practices.

And I do 😉
