Not sure I’m fully onboard with this take, but I need to believe something good comes out of that gut punch we took last night.

How long would it have taken to convince 13 R senators? Would they have ended the filibuster before that happened? And would Johnson have taken it up, even if they did?

Natural selection should take out the vast majority of this regime in no time. Darwinism to the rescue.
RFK Jr celebrated the release of the MAHA report by downing raw milk shooters in the White House with influencer Paul Saladino. Hazards of raw milk include Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Yersinia, E. coli O157:H7, and now-- avian flu.

Investing in scientific research and development is vital to U.S. security.
NEW: Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.)& Trump's former NatSec Advisor Matt Pottinger make the case that funding for scientific R&D isn't a gift to academia. It's vital to U.S. national security, as China, the United States' primary strategic adversary, is already investing heavily in R&D.

Today is #EqualPayDay, a reminder of the gender pay gap.

In 2024, women were paid 18% less than men per hour, on average. Black & Hispanic women experience even larger pay gaps.

The Trump admin's recent actions will worsen this gap and harm women & workers of color.

I've been pondering how we arrived at this nightmare & have come to the conclusion that way too many Americans are willfully ignorant morons who need to touch a hot stove themselves before they believe it will burn them. Distrusting knowledge & science they're forcing us all to burn with them.

I feel like as a collective, we are good on Lent for a while. I mean, we did give up our equal rights, bodily autonomy, right to privacy, a few different amendments. If anything, I feel we have earned the right to splurge a bit. Eat the ice-cream cone, have a bottle of wine. Live a little. 😉

It seems there was a dinner at the WH where a military choir serenaded the orange turd and his guest with a rendition of One Day More from Les Miserables, and the ignorant fools loved it. This is what happens when you don’t read. People mock you to your face. 😹

A radio DJ came on at the end of the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil” and said, “Seems to be a lot of that going around lately.” I literally applauded him in my car.

Ok. But some of us are “readers” and not “posters.” And, quite honestly, I don’t know that many people on here. So, now I’m going to be presumed to be a bot. 😕
Bluesky has been flooded with automated reply bots - they'll offer a sort of confrontational opinion as a reply. They're pretty convincing and we all need to train ourselves to not reflexively reply to all responses until we check

Made the very wise choice of selecting only “pets” under topics that interest me on this site. My whole feed is full of dogs and cats. This is the content I need right now.
