You get the exact production cluster setup locally, but on a smaller scale.
You can easily add packages (e.g., Ruby) and services (e.g., Postgres).
Built on top of Nix and Docker Swarm.

This is a pattern to: 1. Declutter main 2. Delegate to single commands the responsibility of instantiating their own deps. 3. Lazy load these deps 4. Guarantee testability.
Of course this makes sense for a large set of commands where readability and performance matter.
