No matter how I’m into music and contemporary art, my teen daughter started speaking to me as if I were born in the 1800s. 😅

Me: What are you listening to?
Her: Well… [awkward silence] There is this band named The Cure…

At least her music taste is developing well… 😁

The hiatus from OSS allowed me to think and experiment.

After many trials and errors, there is one exciting project.

It’s the dev exp tool I have always wanted but never had. So I built it.

This can be helpful for many dev friends out there.

I’ll open it soon.
Anyone interested?

Your #Golang CLI loads the entire database client just to print a version number.

I spent months refining a pattern to fix this: two-phase initialization.
Command metadata at startup, deps only on execution.

Fast startup, clean tests.
Full pattern breakdown: lucaguidi.com/2025/10/23/w...
Why Your `app version` Golang CLI Command Loads Your Database Client (And How to Fix It)
Golang CLI applications with multiple commands require different dependencies. But traditional Dependency Injection loads everything at startup, even for commands you don't use.

Is it just me, or is the mental overload of dealing with Kubernetes too much?

Who is up for a demo of a side product? I’m looking for validation and feedback.

It’s a B2B dev tool for small to medium sized companies.

DM me. ✌️

My 5yo: Daddy let’s bet 1€ that I’ll write your weight on a piece of paper.

Me: ok 🤔

*He presents a piece of paper with “your weight” written down*

He’s ready to open his own online shady business. 😏

Want to follow #buildinpublic founders from your country?

I've created per-country starter packs
So far for 🇮🇳 🇺🇸 🇩🇪 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇵🇱 🇸🇪 🇦🇹 🇫🇷

👇

Do you want…
- to be included in your countries the starter pack
- your country to have a starter pack (I need at least 7 profiles)

Then reply with your country flag

Finishing up a #coding session with a Git commit and after an intentional syntax error that acts as a bookmark to quickly resume the work the day after.

For years I was intimidated by beautiful handwritten and illustrated bullet journals to the point of not even starting.

Then one day I started without caring about the aesthetics, because of the urge to get the mind clear.

Today I finished the first journal.

Start somewhere.

Generative AI can be a threat for today’s tech job market.

But this isn’t true for the market of tomorrow.

We’ll need human devs to invent, build, and mature the next gen platforms.

Post dotcom burst, web 2.0, smartphones, and social media created millions of new jobs.

I’m optimistic.
