Comes on the parents too. Kid acting up? Remove them. And that's where the breakdown happens a lot of times. Many people aren't actually mad at the kids, they're mad at the parents. And I get that. But a lot of people can't tease out the difference in their minds.

It's a balance, like everything, but going to a restaurant and then being mad that there are kids? Naw. People complaining when there are kids in any context that isn't specifically for kids. How else are they supposed to learn how to act appropriately as adults?

I think about this a lot as a parent of a toddler. As a society, we have "othered" children so, so much. Few think of their collective duty to raise all our children successfully into society. Then we wonder why we get these maladjusted adults.

Small fun story about this. My FIL listens to SouthBound as well and was faster on the draw than me to get to this episode. And yesterday when we were doing Father's Day stuff he asked if I'd heard it yet, which I hadn't, so he just whipped it out and played the clip of me being name dropped lol
