This drug also has the potential to treat PMDD or any other condition caused or exacerbated by the menstrual cycle… it’d be nice if that was acknowledged rather than just focusing on one condition… www.bbc.com/news/article...

Specialized ribosomes: integrating new insights and current challenges | Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences
Variation in the composition of different ribosomes, termed ribosome heterogeneity, is a now well established phenomenon. However, the functional implications of this heterogeneity on the regulation of protein synthesis are only now beginning to be ...

Our latest work is out in Nature today! Using smFRET, we directly visualized recruitment of the eIF4F complex to the 5' cap of eukaryotic mRNAs and formation of an activated mRNA. Our findings reveal new and surprising roles for each eIF4F component. 1/3 www.nature.com/articles/s41...

We have a #PhD available! I'm really excited about this project, looking at whether and how differences in the #IDRs of paralogous epigenetic enzymes CBP and p300 cause them to behave differently. www.findaphd.com/phds/project...

Glad this is in the news but hate that this happens

When I asked my specialist for a chemical menopause she said she didn’t want to give me it because I don’t have kids - despite not wanting any and the procedure being fully reversible…

We’ve got to do better.

I’m also chronically ill - I have PMDD. So I’d also like to build a network on here to help raise awareness and understand the current state of the research.

I’m super keen to do what I can to communicate around this topic so please let me know if this is relevant to you!
