Saw a video on Instagram that pointed out that Dirty Dancing came out in 1987 and was set in 1963, so if it was remade now in 2025 then it would be set in 2001, and now I need a little lie down in a dark room for a while.

Arthur is 17 weeks old today. He's been with us 8 weeks and Jasper is now only starting to come around. It's hard on senior dogs to accept a bundle of energy!

I had kind of forgotten how hard it is to raise a puppy! Bit like childbirth, it's all coming back to me now 😂 #dogsofbluesky #cockerspaniel #puppylove

I may be utterly crazy but this little bundle of deliciousness is joining our home in a few weeks' time. Say hello to Arthur! #dogsofbluesky #cockerspanielpuppy

I made brioche rolls today! No egg wash because eggs - shortage - expensive, I used buttermilk instead! Which was left over from making Soda Bread. Because it's nearly Paddy's Day ☘️

My poor bubba had his annual health check today, this year he was due vaccinations, his eye check on his deteriorating sight and blood tests. He's super sooky and sleepy right now but apart from his sight he's in top form 👍

New obsession unlocked. Terrariums. I found two huge glass vases out for council cleanup and turned them both into terrariums. You'd pay a fortune for them in a shop! 🌱🌿 #recycle #reuse #repurpose

Roasted garlic and rosemary focaccia, this weekend's bake. It's been far too hot to bake recently! Shouldn't wish the time away but I'm dreaming of autumn 🍂

If you're downplaying the #H5N1 fatality because the patient had underlying conditions, consider that you too probably also have underlying immune system impairment from repeat SARS-CoV-2 infections

Ok I made it through. It was ridiculously busy but everyone was kind, happy and a pleasure to serve which made it easier. I can now relax at home with family knowing I have 5 days off to recoup before facing the NY onslaught! Merry Christmas!

If I had understood airborne transmission and aerosols as I do now, I would have masked way before the pandemic started in enclosed spaces.

I would have saved myself many infections that made me miserable for weeks every year.

Please delivery drivers, take the 2 seconds to close gates securely behind you as you leave.
Today my dog seized his chance and took himself off on an adventure because our front gate was left open.
He's safe and unharmed thanks to the local community, my ticker on the other hand..😱
