No duplicates means that games that were previously #11 have a chance to be in the final vote now even if they weren't initially talked about on their console's discussion video Top 10, right?

Are people seriously choosing to complain in spite of a lot of great games now getting to enter the fray??

Anything interesting you could scrounge up on dynamic soundtracks within the fifth generation of consoles or prior, what a dynamic soundtrack needs of its soundfont, etc. would be a cool watch.

What did their cards have if more had Neither combined than anything with Bsky or Twitter?

I hope the villains get to return in more Mario media since they do a much better job at having presence than a lot of Mario villains do. With how left behind Cappy and the Broodals have been in the recent Mario brand though, who even knows anymore. I'm liking this decade of Mario regardless.

Easily one of the best titles I've played this year, though honestly 2025 has been pretty banger so far in that regard. I can definitely see myself revisiting someday. I'm definitely interested in revisiting Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat too to go full-circle on what this development team started with.

I feel like this game qualifies more as a collectathon than a 3D-platformer in the same way Mario Odyssey is, so it's weird getting more Banjo-Kazooie vibes from this than Super Mario 64 ones--even a lot of character designs struck me as something Rare would have made.

A few moments where I had my gripes, but they're honestly nitpicks in the grand-scheme of it all. I kinda wish the Zebra Bananza felt more useful throughout the playthrough. Maybe immunity to surface damage, maybe more speed in general? Everything else felt like it had its place at least.

Donkey Kong Bananza

The successor to Super Mario Odyssey is good, whodathunk. I finally 100%'d it earlier this evening. Tearing apart everything is cathartic in a way I only wish young-me setting off huge stacks of TNT in Minecraft could experience.

While importing models is currently not possible in Mario Party 3, I've decided to still give the art style some practice.

First up we have Ninji! Modeling, texture, and animation by me, and character ideas + selection sprite both made by @jobel.bsky.social

Dang, my high-score to date is only 7 in a row

You did, they did, or it was a sum-total?

It wasn't perfect, as I did lead into a couple moments of friction in the game's one and only dungeon including having to reset the game from a soft-lock. That said, there are some really cool ideas on display here. At only a few hours long with one main dungeon to go through, it's worth the time!

The Missing Link
Another Zelda OoT ROM hack, this one telling the story of what happened to Link between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. As someone that holds Majora's Mask near and dear to my heart, it was really cool getting a nuanced lens of what may have been on Link's mind during its events.

The stray under-utilized mechanic would have a lot more time to shine, too. Though even with the sequel-baiting, it's still plenty enjoyable as a self-contained hack. Even if you're only a fan of Ace Attorney or Zelda, I still feel like I can recommend it pretty easily thanks to the short run-time.

Between one detail they dropped partway through and the ending of the game, it seems like this bite-size sample of an Ace Attorney engine in Ocarina of Time might be proof of concept for a much larger, full-length game in the future. If that's the case, I'm definitely going to be there for it.

Hero of Law
Ocarina of Time ROM hack that turns the game into a 2-3 hour Ace Attorney case. You should already know if you're the exact target audience for this or not just from reading that. Really damn cool proof of concept and definitely got a few chuckles and brain-strains out of me!

I liked it a lot. Plenty of smiles and cozy vibes, especially relative to what I normally expect out of SMT. I really hope Raidou 2 gets remade too, and I'm interested in the future to see what a Raidou 3 could be like. Alongside Persona 5 Strikers, MegaTen action-RPGs haven't missed yet!

The main combat gameplay and demon-fusion are much-improved over the original's, though neither really felt as gripping to me as many of the other MegaTen titles. I feel like you really need to be neck-deep in being an SMT and early-DMC fan to really be in the sweet-spot of what this game offers.

You're a detective who summons demons/devils/other kinds of weirdos to help you solve mysteries and beat up the supernatural and/or the military. Your talking cat is a neat navigator, but having car-driven-by-a-zombie or a flying starfish as your cop-buddy? Detective Pikachu can eat its heart out.

A great soundtrack accompanies good art-direction, with a lot of demon designs I haven't seen elsewhere in the series. It all comes together as a quirky, sometimes moody, sometimes creepy atmosphere in early 1900's Japan. One minute there's body horror, the next you're naked fist-fighting Yakuza.

SMT / Persona are often compared to one another, most infamously that SMT is "Persona without the heart". I can thankfully say that there was a lot of heart in this game. Genuinely this was one of my favorite stories and casts in any SMT, yet none of it feels remotely comparable to Persona in tone.
