Who I am is not what I am, but what I love.
It's social media, so everybody's being silly.

They're being silly for suggesting it's crazy to think a 31-year-old big guy might not be worth going all-in on.

You're being silly for suggesting it takes a coordinated clandestine conspiracy for NBA media members to exhibit groupthink.

I just wish Ohio State could lose a game where it actually looks like they’re fucking trying to win

I'm sure this isn't perfect, but don't let perfect be the enemy of good here. This would be way better than what we've got now, unbalanced schedules consisting mostly of blowouts and 70-year-olds using 70-year-old reasoning to decide who makes it into the playoff.

"But the non-conference game doesn't matter!" Not for the playoffs, no. Coaches play the game because they think it'll be good for their team, or they don't. Whatever. Is this a huge deal, when everybody is already discounting those games for being so early? I don't think so. It's an exhibition.

At the end of it all, because the Big 10 has been allotted X number of playoff bids, the top X in the conference tournament get those bids. Done and dusted. If it's 3 bids, the teams that lose in the conference semis play for the bid the next week. If it's 5, the first round losers play for it.

Either the week before or after the conference championships, promotion/relegation games: 7 of the upper vs 3 of the lower, 8 of the upper vs 2 of the lower (1 of the lower is automatically promoted, 9 of the upper automatically relegated).
December 2, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Conference schedule: 8-game round-robin. Conference tournament: single elimination with 1-5 of the upper (1-2 get byes) and 1 of the lower.

Get rid of non-conference altogether, or either play one game against another good school or against your historical rival, should they happen to not be in your conference or not be in the same division of the same conference (this would be its own separate week, with a bye week for all to follow).

In a battle between “this is concise and funny” versus “yeah but the reasoning would be embarrassing from a fourth-grader,” style wins over substance every time.
