That part of town is a brutal mix of roads with no sidewalks and four-lane roads with no shoulder; it always feels dangerous to me to ride down there, even in the middle of the afternoon. And then of course you add deranged drivers deliberately gunning for cyclists like its the Purge. Sucks.
