Also, I met Castro Nuñez, legend of Galician Celtic music and got to spend the weekend with Elizabeth Shee, one of my heroes and Sofia one of my best friends! What else could I want? #Legends

This weekend I will be here, for a conference dedicated to Atlantic Rock Art - isn't it appropriate? 🤩
My dear friend and mentor told me a while back "Now you are the guardian of this knowledge". Thank you for everything you taught me, and I wish you were still here 🤍

I was kindly invited to speak at this conference on Atlantic Rock Art, which as most of you will know, is a theme very close to my heart.
It includes an excellent programme with great talks and site visits. More info here: www.paar.es?p=3590&lang=gl

Things haven’t been great but last week I went to #Norway for a few days for a research trip with old and new friends and it was so good! I hadn’t realised how much I needed something positive, stimulating and friendly. Beautiful landscapes and rock art (knott your are forgiven). I’ll be back!!

I was in for a treat today! Went to the “Andy Goldsworthy: fifty years” exhibition at the @nationalgalleries.bsky.social

So many thoughts bubbling in my head! Worth facing the crowds in Edinburgh today which included Fringe, Orange March and Oasis fans.

Go and see it!!

Last night, I was very lucky to have been gifted the opportunity to attend the Edinburgh Tattoo for the first time. Really enjoyed it, more than I was expecting, and felt quite emotional at times. Thank you @kirstylilley.bsky.social for your kindness. This really made my (otherwise shitty) week! ❤️

On a different note… the whole conversation about the pebble made me think of Big Pebble in Britannia

I went through the paper and thought that it was actually careful in the way it addressed possible identifications. there is only 1 sentence, that I can see, that suggests the fingerprint may have been left by a male individual. And interestingly, that’s the detail the media decided to pick up on.
May 27, 2025 at 6:35 PM
In today’s amazing fingerprint news, The Guardian decided to write an article with an emphasis on a Neanderthal man. I’m assuming others did that too, as shown here by the BBC 2/
May 27, 2025 at 6:35 PM
I was just going to say that too! I had a look at the post and it is carefully written in that regard up to point where they suggest that it is possibly a male. There is one sentence in the article about this and it’s what the media decided to go for…
