It keeps not making money for so many devs. Powerwash Simulator devs came out and said explicitly, "this isn't making money and isn't worth doing." The Batman Arkham Shadow devs only made it because Meta paid for it. iRacing and Automobilista 2 are the only racing sims doing VR for real.

I think VR is basically cooked as a gaming medium outside the subset of people who want to play cockpit stuff but don't have space for a bunch of screens, so IMO it's weird to bother with this in 2026. I also thought lack of anti-cheat compatibility would put a ceiling on the Steam Deck, though.
